Please review some of our most common dental services offered below for a better understanding of services offered.

Exams, X-Rays, & Teeth Cleaning

During a complete dental exam, we check your child's gum, teeth and evaluate existing fillings in their mouth. X-rays help us look inside your child’s teeth for problems invisible to the naked eye. Different types of x-rays are recommended depending on your child's age and needs. Routine teeth cleaning every 6 months, is recommended to remove plaque, tarter and stains that have accumulated on the teeth. At every visit we will teach your children how to properly brush and floss their teeth at home.

Fluoride Treatment

Fluoride is a substance that helps prevent tooth decay by making the tooth stronger. You child will receive Fluoride every 6 months at our office. Also, your child can receive fluoride daily from toothpaste and drinking water.

Nitrous oxide (Laughing gas)

Nitrous oxide is a combination of two different gases–-oxygen and nitrous oxide. We administer the gas through a small mask placed over your child’s nose. The gas works better for older kids and will make them relax and comfortable. Nitrous oxide is very mild and safe, and quickly will be eliminated from the body.

Sealants

Sealants are designed to be applied to the pits and grooves. found on the back teeth to prevent tooth decay. Most tooth decay in children and teenagers occur in theses areas. Selants prevent trapping of food in areas that cannot be easily cleaned daily.

SEDation dentistry

MODERATE ORAL CONCIOUS SEDATION
"The princess punch or the Superman Juice" Moderate sedation is usually used on young children who may have anxiety and won't sit still during the procedure. Children with extensive dental work, severe anxiety and/or the inability to cooperate are candidates for general anesthesia.

GENERAL ANESTHESIA
Sometimes oral concious sedation doesn't work but general anesthesia will. Children with extensive dental needs, severe anxiety and/or the inablity to cooperate are candidates for general anesthesia. The advantage of general anesthesia is that all treatment can be completed in one visit under the supervision of anesthesiologists. Under general anesthesia, your child will be asleep, just like if he or she was having major surgery.
